Check out the message from Tony Adams, Editor of the new journal of Autoethnography

This years venues are Day one the MS Tempora, a converted 1905 steel dutch barge moored in an enviable secluded spot in the heart of the city (Bristol, BS1 4SP see map below). We hope this amazing venue will bring a relaxed and informal feel to the day and thus facilitate conversation, sharing and social time. This lovely barge also and importantly provides us with a ‘performance space’ suitable for the diverse presentations submitted. Equally important (to those of us who like the warm summer evening if they arrive) it has an open deck for our drinks reception and evening picnic. 

For Day Two of the conference we return to the MShed, with its panoramic balcony and view across the water and city.

Pre conference workshops: For those of you who have signed up for the pre-conference workshops these will be held on the bridge of the MB Tempora, (middle photo above) draft timings as follows: Breakfast pastries, fruit, cereals, yogurt, orange juice, teas and coffees will be served on the bridge at 8:30 and a light working lunch after the second workshop.   8:30-10:00 Doing arts based research, with Kitrina Douglas & David Carless:   10:15-11:45 A true friend stabs you in the front:friendship as autoethnographic method in the paraversity withAlec Grant & Trude Klevan: 12:00-1:30 Autoethnographic practice in the posthuman: working with bodies in entanglements of discourse and materialitywith Ken Gale

Please sign in for the conference and collect your welcome pack on the deck of the Tempora any time from 1pm, refreshments will be available
